Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Senior Unit-level Space ISR Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Analytic Tradecraft Instructor to support the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Peterson SFB and Schriever SFB, CO.  The Senior Unit-level ISR SME will be a key member of a team providing advice and assistance across a wide range of intelligence programs and will include development and instruction of analytic tradecraft courses such as critical thinking, structured analysis, and analytic writing.  This individual will provide subject matter expertise in the establishment, administration, and operation of ISR units to include a focus on training, intelligence analytic tradecraft, strategic planning, and integration.

Responsibilities

  • Guide development of the unit’s operational training program to include Initial Qualification Training (IQT)/Mission Qualification Training (MQT) to include position-specific job qualification standards with emphasis on all source analytic tradecraft
  • As part of a team, develop and deliver in-person classroom instruction on topics such as critical thinking, structured analysis, and analytic writing
  • Assist unit leadership with strategic planning and integration across the United States Space Force, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community
  • Research & develop courses of action and draft policy documents for unit challenges; assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives or plans
  • Provide technical and experiential insights across a wide range of intelligence programs and analytical problems
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
  • Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence, Business Administration, Accounting, History, Political Science, Engineering, or related technical fields
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and/or Space Mission Area as an ISR subject matter expert to include all-source analysis and report
  • USAF/USSF Qualification as a 14N/1NX- Intelligence professional (or other service equivalent)
  • Experience developing training curriculum and instructing in a classified environment
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented responsible team player capable of interacting with senior leaders within the United States Space Force, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community
  • Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired

  • Experience with USSF organizations, mission, roles, and responsibilities
  • Recognized ISR subject matter expert within areas of interest to the United States Space Force
  • Experience or assignments in Space Operations Command/Air Force Space Command, Space Training & Readiness Command (STARCOM) and/or Air Education & Training Command (AETC)
  • Basic Instructor Course/Basic Instructor Space Course attendance or advanced instructorship
  • Experience instructing analytic tradecraft, such as critical thinking, structured analysis, and analytic writing
  • Master’s degree in Intelligence, Business Administration, Accounting, History, Political Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields
  • Experience as a Squadron/Delta/Field Command or equivalent senior leader

 

Global Comp

$160,000- $200,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
