Position Overview

Riverside Research Institute is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our Procurement Team. This individual will manage the full procurement lifecycle for materials, components and services in support of the entire organization for both Direct and Indirect type orders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cradle-to-grave procurement processes in full compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and company policies.
  • Partner with internal teams to align procurement efforts with project goals.
  • Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
  • Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchasing terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to purchase order terms and resolving invoice issues.
  • Support proposal and pricing activities by obtaining supplier quotes and contributing to cost analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready procurement documentation, including for CPSR reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge with ERP systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint Version 8.0 or higher.
  • Proficiency using MS O365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro business software.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field preferred. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • DoD experience/ knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.

Global Comp

$65,000- $100,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
