Position Overview

Riverside Research’s Applied Mathematics and Physics Solutions group is seeking a full time RF Scientist, RF Engineer or Electrical Engineer (EE) with experience in radio frequency applications in computational electromagnetics analysis. The candidate will contribute to research and development of new techniques that advance the state-of-the-art in defense industry CEM tools. Candidates will collaborate with a diverse team whose backgrounds include CEM, scientific computing, physics, computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, and high-performance computing (HPC) at our facilities in Ohio (Dayton) or New York (NYC). This position will include work on independent research and development (IRAD) and contracts.

 

Candidate can work out of our facilities in New York, NY, Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities

Job Description: 

  • Design, develop, simulate, and/or test computational electromagnetic (CEM) models
  • Evaluate simulation, test and production data, prepare analysis and recommend changes to meet project objectives
  • Prepare and conduct verification and validation testing of custom software
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
  • PhD in EE and 0 years of experience or MS in EE and 3+ years of experience or related STEM fields
  • Proficient in applications of EM theory (e.g. antennas, scattering, waveguides, optics, etc.)
  • Ability and desire to learn new CEM, CAD and programming tools
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with analysis tools like Matlab, Mathematica, Python
  • Experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools (CATIA, NX, Creo/ProE, AutoDesk, Solidworks, etc)
  • Experience working on Linux based platforms

DESIRED Qualifications

  • Experience developing CAD models/meshes suitable for CEM analysis from complex or overly detailed engineering drawings, 2D schematics or other source material
  • Experience with performing RF tests/measurements
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with CI poly
  • 3+ years of experience with computational electromagnetic solvers (e.g., HFSS, FEKO, CST, COMSOL, etc.)

$91,000 - $169,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
