Position Overview

 

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Radar Systems Engineer to join our team at the mid to senior level. This role will focus on the design, evaluation, and assessment of radar hardware and system architectures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in radar system design, coupled with the ability to assess hardware performance, identify risks, and ensure mission effectiveness in complex environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support system design assessments for radar platforms, including hardware, firmware, and integration aspects.
  • Conduct trade studies, performance analyses, and hardware assessments to evaluate radar subsystems and end-to-end system capabilities.
  • Provide technical input for requirements development, system specifications, and design documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend hardware/system improvements or modernization strategies.
  • Prepare and present technical findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Support testing, validation, and verification activities, including hardware-in-the-loop and system-level demonstrations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in radar systems engineering, with emphasis on hardware design, integration, and system-level assessments.
  • Strong background in RF hardware, antennas, transmit/receive modules, and radar signal chain components.
  • Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience in performing design trade-offs and assessing hardware/system performance against requirements.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, MIL-STD practices, and systems engineering life cycle preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Active Secret clearnce with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
  • Experience in:
    • Ballistic Missile Defense
    • Ballistic Missile Technical Collections
    • Space Based Radar Applications
    • Space Situational Awareness Experience
    • Whole Life Engineering Experience

Global Comp

140,000 - 180,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
