Position Overview

Riverside Research’s Intelligence and Defense Solutions Directorate has a potential full-time opening in the Dayton, Ohio area for a Facilities Electrical Engineer position. This position will support the National Space and Intelligence Center at WPAFB Dayton, Ohio by ensuring a large staff population and their facilities have a safe electrical supply as well as backup systems for redundancies.   

Responsibilities

  • Function as an advocate and SME for the resident mission on WPAFB including local power companies and Base Engineering 
  • Review new facility electrical plans
  • Overseeing projects with electrical backgrounds 
  • Assisting with operations, breaker and generator testing, and building systems
  • Prepare electrical installation drawings for area renovations of existing facilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a current Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
  • 5 + years facility experience
  • Knowledge of construction, maintenance and contracting management
  • Knowledge of power distribution and high reliability
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team
  • Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E requirements
  • Project coordination skills.
  • Estimating skills to produce budgets with a +/-20% accuracy.
  • Superior communications skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work on multiple project simultaneously (multi-tasking)

Desired:

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
  • 10+ years facility experience
  • Experience with Government/Military
  • Industrial Controls knowledge
  • Familiar with Fire Alarm systems design requirements
  • Experience with SKM systems analysis software
  • Experience with electrical preventative maintenance and plan development
    • Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including mechanical systems) a plus
  • Familiarity with Federal Government contracting and project flow

Global Comp

$120,000 - $145,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
