The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) Foreign Materiel Exploitation Squadron (GXF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is seeking a skilled Technical Editor to perform and support creation, revision, review and communication of technical reports, documents and products related to classified projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of military and aerospace terminology with ability to hold a TS//SCI security clearance.
Required Skills:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a STEM/technical field relevant to technical editing or minimum of 8 years of experience performing technical editing or a closely-related work.
- Familiarity with military and aerospace terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and editing software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with classified materials and knowledge of security protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree relevant to or augmenting technical editing capabilities (relevant STEM, business, management-related programs, etc.) or significant (10+ years) technical editing experience.
- Experience supporting and/or familiarity with foreign materiel exploitation mission and supporting organizations, concepts and technologies.
